Cookies
Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies." They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain in your device's memory until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser when you next visit the site.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1, letter f of DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyze your surfing behavior) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
These data will not be combined with data from other sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
Contact form
Should you send us questions via the contact form, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, to answer your question and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission.
We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) DSGVO. You can revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send an informal e-mail to optout(at)knauf-interfer.de. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.
We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.
5. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.
IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.
Outsourced data processing
We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic data collection by Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics' demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Refusal of data collection".
6. PLUGINS AND TOOLS
OpenStreetMap
We integrate the maps of the service "OpenStreetMap" (https://www.openstreetmap.org), which are offered on the basis of the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). Privacy Policy: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy. As far as we know, OpenStreetMap will only use the user's data for the purpose of displaying the map functions and temporarily storing the selected settings. This data may include in particular the IP addresses and location data of users, which, however, may not be collected without their consent (as a rule within the framework of the settings of their mobile devices).
7. YOUTUBE VIDEO
Nature and scope of data processing
We have integrated YouTube Video on our website. YouTube Video is a component of the video platform of YouTube, LLC, on which users can upload content, share it over the Internet and receive detailed statistics. YouTube Video enables us to integrate content from the platform into our website. YouTube Video uses cookies and other browser technologies to evaluate user behaviour, recognise users and create user profiles. This information is used, among other things, to analyse and report on the activity of the viewed content. If a user is registered with YouTube, LLC, YouTube Video can assign the videos played to the profile. When you access this content, you establish a connection to the servers of YouTube, LLC, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4 Ireland, whereby your IP address and possibly browser data such as your user agent are transmitted.
Purpose and legal basis
The use of the service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a. GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. We intend to transfer personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area, in particular the USA. Data transfer to the USA is carried out in accordance with Art. 45 para. 1 GDPR on the basis of the adequacy decision of the European Commission. The US companies involved and/or their US subcontractors are certified in accordance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF). In cases where no adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (including US companies that are not certified under the EU-U.S. DPF), we have agreed other appropriate safeguards with the recipients of the data within the meaning of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR have been agreed. Unless otherwise stated, these are standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission in accordance with Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914 of 4 June 2021. You can view a copy of these standard contractual clauses at L_2021199EN.01003101.xml (europa.eu)
In addition, prior to such a third country transfer, we will obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 49 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a. GDPR, which you give via any consent in the Consent Manager (or other forms, registrations, etc.). We would like to point out that in the case of third country transfers, there may be risks that are unknown in detail (e.g. data processing by security authorities in the third country, the exact scope and consequences of which we do not know, over which we have no influence and of which you may not become aware).
Storage period
The specific storage period of the processed data cannot be influenced by us, but is determined by YouTube, LLC. Further information can be found in the privacy policy for YouTube Video: Privacy Policy – Privacy & Terms – Google
8. OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PRESCENCE
We maintain so-called fan pages or accounts on the networks listed below in order to provide you with information within social networks and to offer you further ways to contact us. Below we inform you about the data that we or the respective social network processes in connection with you accessing and using our fan pages/accounts.
Personal data that we process from you
If you wish to contact us via direct message via the respective social network, we generally process your user name, which you use to contact us, and may store other data provided by you if this is necessary to process/answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR (processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller).
(Static) usage data that we receive from social networks
We receive automated statistics relating to our accounts via Insights functionalities. The statistics include the total number of page views, likes, information on page activity and post interactions, reach, video views/views and information on the proportion of men/women among our fans/followers. The statistics only contain aggregated data that cannot be related to individual persons. You therefore cannot be identified by us.
Data the social networks process from you
Please note, however, that the social networks may also collect and store data from website visitors without a user account when they access the respective social network (e.g. technical data in order to be able to display the website to you) and use cookies and similar technologies, over which we have no influence whatsoever. Information on, among other things, the exact scope and purposes of the processing of your personal data, the storage period/deletion as well as guidelines on the use of cookies and similar technologies in the context of registration and use of social networks can be found in the data protection provisions/cookie guidelines of the individual social networks (see corresponding links below).
LinkedIn is a social network of LinkedIn Inc. based in Sunnyvale, California, USA, which enables the creation of private and professional profiles of natural persons and company profiles. When using or visiting the network, LinkedIn automatically collects data from users or visitors, such as user name, job title and IP address. This is done with the help of various tracking technologies. LinkedIn provides users with information, offers and recommendations based on the data collected in this way, among other things. We only collect your data via our company profile in order to facilitate communication and interaction with us. This data usually includes your name, message content, comment content and the profile information you provide "publicly".
The processing of your personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is based on our legitimate business and communicative interest in offering an information and communication channel in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR. If you as a user have given your consent to data processing to the respective provider of the social network, the legal basis for processing extends to Art. 6 para. 1 a, Art. 7 GDPR.
Due to the fact that the actual data processing is carried out by the provider of the social network, our access options to your data are limited. Only the provider of the social network is authorised to have full access to your data. As a result, only the provider can directly take and implement appropriate measures to fulfil your user rights (request for information, request for deletion, objection, etc.). Thus, the most effective way to assert such rights is to contact the respective provider directly. We are however jointly responsible with LinkedIn for the personal content of our company profile. In this respect, your rights as a data subject can be asserted with LinkedIn Inc. and with us.
